Terms of use

Tucanoo builds travel itineraries from what you tell us and from the changes you ask for in the chat. By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.

1. The service

Tucanoo keeps improving, and the service may change or be unavailable for a while. Itineraries, opening hours, prices and place details come from public sources and from artificial intelligence and may be wrong or out of date. Always check before you book, pay or travel.

2. Your account

You sign in with your Google or Apple account. You must be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for what you do with your account and for what you share with people you invite to a trip. People you invite can edit the trip with you.

3. What you send us

Tickets, bookings and itineraries you upload to the Vault are read only to build your trip. Personal documents (ID, passport) are stored only for you and are never read by anyone, including the AI. Only upload content you have the right to use. You keep the rights to your content and give us permission to process it to provide the service.

Photos you add to the stops of an itinerary remain yours. By uploading them, you allow Tucanoo to store, resize and show them in the itinerary, to the people traveling with you and, if the itinerary is published in the showcase, to people who browse the showcase, free of charge and for as long as the photo is there. In a group trip everyone can add photos, but only the person who created the trip can publish or sell the itinerary; by adding a photo to someone else's trip, you allow it to go with the itinerary when it is published or sold, with no payment to you. Each trip holds up to 100 photos. You can remove a photo of yours at any time. Every photo goes through an automatic filter before it goes in: nudity, sexual content, violence, hate symbols, documents and contact details (phone, handle, website) are not allowed. People who browse the showcase can report a photo; once reported it is taken down and we decide whether it comes back. Only upload photos you took or have the right to use, and be careful with other people's faces.

4. Pro

Building the itinerary and editing it by hand are free. Pro unlocks unlimited chat changes, the trip companion and unlimited imports on all your trips for one year, for the account that bought it. It is a one-time payment: Pro does not renew automatically. The Trip Pass is no longer sold; if you already bought one, it stays valid until it expires (30 days after you return, and at most 12 months after you bought it). Prices are shown before you pay, in Brazilian reais for accounts in Brazil and in US dollars elsewhere, and may include taxes charged by the payment provider. If you are not happy, write to us within 7 days of your purchase and we will refund you. This does not limit any refund or withdrawal right you have under the consumer law of your country.

Referrals: every account has a personal link under Your invites. Whoever joins through it (or through an email invite, or a trip invite) gets 20% off their first Pro purchase if they buy within 30 days of signing up. Each referred friend who buys Pro takes 20% off the referrer's next Pro payment (purchase or renewal), starting 7 days after the friend's purchase and as long as it is not refunded. With 5 friends in a year, the next year of Pro is free; after the 5th, the rest don't count. The discount applies only to the payment it was used on. Purchases made with the referrer's card (or with the card of a friend already counted) and Tucanoo team accounts don't count. The discount cannot be turned into cash or moved to another account.

5. Bookings and partners

Hotel, tour and mobile data links take you to partners. The purchase is made with the partner, who is responsible for the booking, the invoice, cancellations and refunds. Tucanoo may earn a commission from these referrals. When a payment happens inside the app, the payment screen shows who the seller is.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use the service for illegal purposes, to access other people's data, to upload offensive or third party content or to overload the system. We may delete that content and suspend accounts that break these rules.

7. Liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent allowed by law, Tucanoo is not liable for indirect losses, or for losses caused by relying on information in an itinerary without checking it, such as a closed venue, a missed connection or a changed price. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or the mandatory rights you have as a consumer.

8. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in your profile. Your personal data is then deleted as described in the privacy policy.

9. Changes and applicable law

We may update these terms and will tell you about important changes in the app or by email. These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. If you are a consumer living in another country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of that country.
